CHAPAS DE ALFRED EISENSTAEDT

É o costume, há fotografias que ficam para a história, mas o seu autor cai no anonimato, para a maioria das pessoas. De Eisenstaedt, conhecia 3 fotos, o icónico beijo de Times Square, o V de Churchill  e um Goebells possesso, com as mãos cravadas na cadeira, no momento em que descobriu que o fotógrafo não era só alemão, mas judeu - 'olhou para mim com ódio nos seus olhos', disse Eisenstaedt. Deu para notar, a postura do ministro da propaganda nazi, nas imagens anteriores a essa, são amistosas e despreocupadas.

Alfred Eisenstaedt (1898-1995) nasceu em Dirschau, na Prússia Ocidental, e mudou-se em 1906 para Berlim. Tornou-se fotógrafo profissional em 1929, debutando com uma reportagem para a Pacific and Atlantic Photos (futura Associated Press), na atribuição dum Nobel. Em 1935, Eisenstaedt emigrou para os E.U.A., para fugir à manápula nazi, vivendo em Queens (NY) até ao fim.

Sendo um dos 4 fotógrafos pioneiros da Life magazine, onde trabalhou entre 1936 e 1972, assinou cerca de 2500 trabalhos e 86 capas, incluindo a da segunda edição da revista.
